This morning in my Facilities and Event management class we watched a documentary on the building of the notorious Cowboys Stadium. Visiting prior to this video had given me major insight of what was to come, but even more insight of how passionate I was when I was in Texas. The passion of the community, the love of the game, and the uproar of spirit that flows from not only the Cowboys stadium but Texas as a whole. Jerry Jones, one of the biggest names in football was shown and how is creations and ideas have come to life within the stadium. Making you feel as though you are in a "convertible" not a sun roof mini van, is exactly what the stadium depicts. He wanted to show is fans an experience of a life time and a reason to leave your homes and take a break of the routinely hours of your day and enjoy some good ole' American football. Recanting the days I was in Texas, I felt like I was in a movie; getting ready in an unfamiliar bathroom, clothes lined out and pressed, to get a ride to the stadium and be introduced to some of the men and women who make this 21st century stadium a working unit. I want to be apart of something that allows me to share in that excitement of coming to work everyday and passionate about what I do. I can definitely see myself in an area like Texas, surrounding by that drive.
