3 strikes you're out

This weekend was very relaxing and much needed mindset change. I have been working each day to get more ahead of school work in order to prepare for my free mindset of spring break next week. I was able to get some work done, enjoy some sporting events on campus and get some sun on my face with good friends. I've also been trying hard to stay away from gluten and notice the changes in my body. I can feel my energy and over self esteem feel better when I stay away from gluten. Over the weekend, I made a rookie mistake. I drank Redds Apple Ale, thinking it was gluten free because it was Apple.. Strike 1. I looked up the ingredients and the first one was malt. you could say I was mortified, but figured I wouldn't feel too gross when I got home. Strike 2. Not realizing it would take an hour and half for the gluten to reach my stomach as I was in agonizing pain on my roommates floor. I haven't felt something like that in so long and it made so much sense. the more my body isn't seeing gluten, the better I feel. Once an ounce of the notorious gluten hits my body, its game over. I finally realized how important it is to pay attention to EVERYTHING that I put into my body.
Lesson learned, and luckily I didn't make it to strike 3, but I was just about there. I forced myself to take in a 1/2 gallon of water and my gluten support pills and felt better the next morning.
